When making fried potatoes and onions, I prefer red or gold ones because they cook much faster and are easier to prepare. If you’re new to cooking red or gold will be perfect for you. This recipe only took no longer than 30 minutes to cook. You can have these Southern fried potatoes for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

You will need a nonstick skillet so your potatoes will not stick and come out perfect. For this recipe, you will need only red potatoes or gold potatoes, onion, and your choice of seasoning. This is a low-budget and straightforward meal for any time during the week. When I cook this yummy recipe, my teenager can’t stop eating and talking about how good they are.

Ingredients
  

  • 4 Red Potatoes
  • 1 Onion
  • 1 tbsp Paprika
  • 1 tbsp Parsley
  • 1 tbsp Italian
  • 1 stick Butter
  • 1/4 cup Oil
  • 1 tbsp Beef Seasoning
  • 1 tbsp Black Pepper

Method
 

  1. Peel Potatoes
  2. Place in a bowl of water when you are done peeling to keep your potatoes from turning black.
  3. Cut onion
  4. Cut your potatoes long way then in cubes.
  5. Season your potatoes up using your choice of seasoning.
  6. Heat up some oil in a non-stick skillet.
  7. Put the potatoes and onions in the skillet.
  8. Cook on Med high for ten minutes.
  9. Stir around while cooking the potatoes.
  10. Turn your stove down on low.
  11. Place the top on the potatoes and cook for 10 minutes.
  12. Take the top off and cook for 5 minutes
  13. It's done
