Nothing like a homemade Strawberry Pound Cake made with fresh strawberries and milk to keep the cake moist and very soft. This cake is perfect for a spring dessert.
Strawberry Pound Cake

Every year when strawberries are in season, the first thing that comes to my mind is a strawberry cake. I decided to start with one of my favorite pound cakes. Every time I would make a strawberry cake, I would use the box cake because I was afraid to try the real deal lol. Believe it or not, baking it from scratch was easier than the box recipe. This was my very first time baking a strawberry cake, it turned out so delicious I just had to share with y’all.
Strawberry Glaze

What Ingredients will you need?
For The Cake
- Flour—I used all-purpose flour, the one that says Gold Medal. Feel free to use whatever you can afford.
- Salt- Please don’t leave out salt, it helps bring the complete taste of everything.
- Baking powder, you’ve got to have that baking powder to help it rise.
- Baking Soda-makes the cake rise
- Unsalted butter- Because my husband tells me too lol.
- Granulated sugar-Add sweetness
- Eggs- Help the cake rise
- Vanilla gives the cake a nice flavor. You can use any kind, but if you used imitation, add an extra teaspoon.
- Milk helps keep the cake moist.
- Fresh Strawberries- I love to use fresh, store bought strawberries but feel free to use the frozen kind.
- Food coloring, helps give it a nice pink strawberry color
For the Glaze
- 2 1/2 cups powder sugar– In this picture, I wanted a more strawberry taste so I used only one cup of powder sugar and one cup of the strawberry mix.
- 4 tablespoons of fresh strawberry mix
- 1 teaspoon milk
